We collaborate with women in vulnerable situations, older women and those without access to formal work.
By giving them our yarns to knit from home, we create opportunities for income, dignity, and independence. Every sample you see on our site has been made by their skilled hands.

Frequently Asked Questions

Give your alpaca wool clothing a little extra love by washing it gently in warm (not hot!) water with a mild soap—or even a bit of your favorite gentle shampoo.
Rinse it well using water that's the same temperature.
Alpaca fabric can get a bit fragile when it's wet, so be extra kind and don’t wring or twist it. Just softly press out the extra water with your hands. Easy does it!
Alpaca fleece contains low lanolin, which has been shown to help with allergy problems in some people. Also is grown naturally without the need to drench and chemically clean the animals, as is required for sheep.
After being shorn, the alpaca fleece is gently washed with organically certified detergents and processed into our alpaca yarns.
Alpaca garments are very durable and can last 10 years or longer if treated well.
Since alpaca fiber is self-cleaning and does not absorb odors, the amount of care required is very low.
